Scholarships
The Los Gatos Community Foundation, Inc. offers Scholarships to student citizens of Los Gatos. We are proud to encourage and sponsor these outstanding individuals who have shown exceptional community service by awarding each of them a scholarship toward furthering their education.
The Foundation started the scholarship program in 1999 by awarding one $500 scholarship. Since 2006 $3,000 in scholarships have been awarded each year.
"Community Service Scholarships" are awarded to graduating seniors at Los Gatos, Leigh and Westmont high schools that will attend a four year college. Criteria is based primarily on community service, secondarily on financial need and thirdly on academic performance.
We proudly award another scholarship each year in the memory of long time Los Gatos resident Vic Collard. Vic started this scholarship and we are continuing it in his honor. The scholarship is given to a Los Gatos High School graduating senior who has shown excellence in the area of Agro-ecology.
Awards are given at each school's annual awards night.
Interested students should see their Guidance Counselor for an application.
