4th of July
To continue to foster the community spirit that is so present in our community, the Town of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education & Recreation sponsors a celebration on the 4th of July.
This is a family day with games for children and fun for all starting at the Civic Center lawn. The Los Gatos Community Foundation, Inc. contributes to this wonderful event by coordinating the Lions, Rotary and the Daughters of the American Revolution organizations in the preparation and sale of hot dogs, hamburgers, lemonade, and other snacks. Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic lunch or visit one of the Service Club stands.
In the early afternoon the celebration moves across the street to the Los Gatos High School lawn for a concert by the San Jose Wind Symphony. Then it's back to the civic center for a performance by the Peninsula Banjo Band followed by bingo and lemonade hosted by the Los Gatos Senior Center and dinner prepared by The Venue Teen Center.
